The Minnesota State Patrol, operating on information it received from medical personnel, has updated its report about a head-on collision Tuesday night on Interstate 35 near the Clarks Grove exit.
The report available on the State Patrol’s media webpage states 20-year-old Steven D. Selvig remains in critical condition for serious injuries he sustained in the crash.
The report posted earlier Wednesday stated Selvig had died.
The State Patrol gives little information other than to say it is a correction.
Selvig was injured after he was struck in his 1997 Ford Taurus by a 2008 Ford pickup, driven by David A. Vanderploeg, 62, of Hollandale that lost control and crossed the median into the southbound lanes.
The road was icy at the time of the crash.
The State Patrol is investigating.
