Amnesty would harm the economy

An amnesty bill would create joblessness. Democrats on Capitol Hill have consistently voted for the proposed illegal-alien amnesty that would immediately introduce millions more workers into the job market. In fact, all of the Senate Democrats voted for the deeply flawed immigration-amnesty bill last year. The Congressional Budget Office has reported that the Senate bill would reduce average wages in America for 12 years, increase unemployment for seven years and reduce the per-capita growth of the gross national product for more than 25 years. The Senate bill would also double legal immigration at a time when immigration, outsourcing and smart machines are taking American jobs. Let’s face it, America doesn’t need more imported labor now or anytime soon, and if you’re not concerned about this, then your job isn’t being threatened, at least not right now. If Washington really wants to help the American people they would start by closing the southern border right now, then deal with those already here.
