Insurance didn’t cover condition

Can someone please explain to me why I am denied coverage for my pre-existing condition? I thought President Barack Obama said nobody would be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions. Not covering my diabetes meds, supplies or checkups really hasn’t made insurance affordable for me.
