Alliant Energy offers savings programs

Alliant Energy is offering energy-savings programs to small businesses, according to a press release.

Energy experts will be in Albert Lea from through March 14 conducting free energy audits for small business customers.

Qualifying small businesses can get a free energy assessment through Alliant Energy’s Small Business Energy Assessment program. In addition to the assessment, a representative will install free energy-saving products. Small business owners will also receive a customized plan for energy- and money-saving improvements.

The report includes information about ways businesses can earn rebates from Alliant Energy to offset the cost of making recommended efficiency upgrades. As a bonus, businesses may also qualify for Alliant Energy’s Small Business Energy Solutions program.

The Small Business Energy Solutions program helps small businesses complete efficient lighting projects that can lower utility bills and reduce operating costs. This turnkey lighting program pays up to 75 percent of total project costs. The simple, streamlined process is designed to work within the busy schedules of small business owners.

To participate in the programs, businesses must receive energy service from Alliant Energy, have an annual billing of less than $50,000, occupy less than 20,000 square feet and receive property owner approval if the facility is leased.
