Congratulations to the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva High School girls’ basketball team on winning its second state championship in a row …
… and going undefeated on the season …
… and for winning 61 straight games …
… and for scoring 100 points in a game and setting the record for most points scored in a state tournament game …
…and sending two players, Carlie Wagner and Jade Schultz, to the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers women’s basketball team …
… and for Schultz scoring more than 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds …
… and for for Wagner scoring more than 2,000 career points …
… and for Wagner setting a record for points scored in games at the state tournament, racking up 371 and knocking down a record that stood since 1980 …
… and for playing as a team.
It’s clear the NRHEG Panthers’ favorite conjunction was “and” because they collected this and that and this and that for records over the past four years.
We look forward to seeing the team continue to thrive in future years and to develop new stars as they continue to play like a team.
