Area Cub Scouts are having a Southern Trails Cuboree and introduction for their spring campout.

Scouts and their parents can camp overnight May 9 at the Mower County Fairgrounds in Austin.  Check-in is between 6 and 7 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. A campfire and snacks will follow.

Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. May 10, and the program will be finishing up by 9 a.m.

The fee is $5 a pair, and is free for newly-signed up scouts. An adult must attend with each Scout. Scouts are reminded to bring their own tents and can only share a tent with their own parents.

Scouts can register with their pack leaders by May 1, and online unit registration is due by May 5.
