FRIDLEY — A relative says a 2-year-old boy who survived a high-speed crash that killed his parents in Anoka County will live with his grandmother.

Wilbur and Patrice Hooks, of Crystal, were killed when their car hit the back of a semitrailer Friday night on Interstate 694 in Fridley. Witnesses told the Minnesota State Patrol the car was speeding and made no attempt to stop before hitting the semi.

Patrice Hooks’ aunt, Brenda Hunter, said the couple had just purchased the vehicle.
