Carlie Wagner to play in All-Star game

Carlie Wagner of NRHEG has the chance to take the basketball court one more time during her high school career, according to a press release.
Wagner, the Associated Press’ Player of the Year, was invited to play at the
Minnesota Girls’ Basketball Coaches Association’s All-Star series Saturday at Carleton College in Northfield.
Wagner is one of 40 players selected to play in the event, which will feature two games. Tipoff of the first game is at 1 p.m. The second game is at 3 p.m.
An adult ticket will be $10 at the door. The event is free for children and students under 18.
The nine other players selected from Class AA are Siri Sviggum of Kenyon Wanamingo, Madison Dean of Jordan, Mackenzie Uter of Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Annalise Savageau of Osakis, Carly Sigurdson of BOLD, Vanessa Lane of Pequot Lakes and Kayla Nickles of Braham.
After the tournament, the coaches association will present theMiss Basketball award. Nominees are Wagner, Cayla McMorris of Park Center, Kenisha Bell of Kennedy, Chase Cooley of Washburn and Briana Rasmusson of Fergus Falls.
Wagner averaged 37.1 points, 5.3 assists and 4.4 steals per game this season.
