Charges filed following Frozen Four melee

MINNEAPOLIS — A Richfield man has been charged with assaulting a police officer during a skirmish that followed the University of Minnesota’s defeat in the Frozen Four championship game.
Twenty-two-year-old Michael Juberian is accused of throwing bottles and a chunk of concrete at officers. He faces a gross misdemeanor assault charge and a felony count of rioting with a dangerous weapon.
One officer was hit by the concrete.
A total of 19 people were arrested when crowds gathered in Dinkytown after the game Saturday night. Some people were given citations at the scene.
