Free program set for April 14

A free program, “Diabetes and Your Eyes,” is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 14 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Albert Lea and Austin’s Health Reach campus, 1705 S.E. Broadway, Albert Lea.
Keeping eyes healthy is important to everyone and can be challenging if you have diabetes, according to a news release. Ophthalmologist Leonid Skorin Jr. will share specifics on how to keep your eyes healthy when diabetes is a factor. The program will cover:
• Eye problems specific to diabetes
• Importance of routine eye exams
• Proper treatment of eye conditions
• Preservation of eyesight
