Albert Lea police cited Cody Eggum for misdemeanor theft at 12:05 p.m. Monday after Eggum reportedly turned himself in at the Law Enforcement Center for stealing a red kettle from the Albert Lea Salvation Army Thrift Store last week.

The theft was caught on security footage at the store and had been posted on Facebook over the weekend.

Police stated the kettle and lock were valued at $60. They are unsure how much money was inside.
