BURNSVILLE — A man who broke through the ice on a Burnsville pond has died.

A passer-by called authorities after seeing the man in distress Monday afternoon at Sunset Pond Park.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Department said the man, in his 40s, died at a hospital Tuesday.
