Scam reported 

A person at 208 N. Central Ave. in Geneva reported a scam to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office of a man going door to door selling stereo equipment and TVs.

 

Window broken

The back window on a vehicle was reported smashed out at 8:26 a.m. Tuesday at 513 W. Main St.

 

Bicycle stolen from yard

A 20-inch Kent girls BMX bike was reported stolen at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday from the front yard of 725 Fountain St.

 

Austin man shot in the groin

AUSTIN ­— Austin police are investigating the circumstances around a man who was shot in his crotch area Saturday.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin reported a 35-year-old was shot in his genitals at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

The man was taken to Mayo Clinic in Rochester for treatment, though Krueger said the wound was reportedly non-life threatening.
