A car reportedly slid into an Albert Lea school bus at 7:56 a.m. today near the intersection of The Fairway and Lakeview Boulevard, according to police.
The bus was stopped at the stop sign at the bottom of the hill on The Fairway getting ready to turn onto Lakeview Boulevard. Roads were slippery with new snow and ice that fell overnight and this morning.
No one was injured. There were 36 children on the bus, plus the driver.
Steve Anderson, director of facilities for the school district, said it was Bus 344. Another bus arrived to take the children to school.
The Minnesota State Patrol inspected Bus 344 after the crash, per state law.
