LITTLE FALLS — Opening statements are expected to get under way in the case of a central Minnesota man who shot and killed two teens who entered his home.

Sixty-five-year-old Byron Smith is on trial on two counts of first-degree premeditated murder for the November 2012 killings of 17-year-old Nick Brady and 18-year-old Haile Kifer.
