MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms on a contract with free agent safety Kurt Coleman.
Coleman’s agent, Blake Baratz, said Monday the deal was done. The Vikings have not yet made an announcement.
Coleman visited the Vikings last Friday. The seventh-round draft pick in 2010 out of Ohio State played the last four seasons for Philadelphia, starting 29 games, though none of those came last year. Coleman’s best season was 2011, when he had four interceptions, five passes defended and one forced fumble.
Harrison Smith is entrenched as a starter at one safety spot, with Jamarca Sanford and Andrew Sendejo the leading returning candidates for the lineup at the other position.
