1 injured after crash

One person was reportedly transported to the hospital after a crash at 4:51 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Freeborn County roads 35 and 30. No other information was available as of press time.

 

Man walks out of store with cart of groceries

A man reportedly walked out of Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave., at 8:52 p.m. Monday without paying for a cart of food.

 

Person arrested, another cited after fight

Albert Lea police arrested Christopher Aleksandr Axsmith, 26, for second-degree assault and cited a juvenile for fifth-degree assault after a reported fight between two neighbors at 4:16 p.m. Monday at 1817 Waldorf Road.

 

Damage reported

Damage was reported to a garage at 7:47 a.m. Monday at 628 Ruble Ave.

The owner of 102 Fifth Ave. in Freeborn reported coming home and finding pry marks and the door open at 11:48 p.m. Sunday. It was unknown if anything was missing.

Windows were reported broken at 7:55 p.m. Friday at 33195 640th Ave., southwest of New Richland in Freeborn County.

 

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 1:21 p.m. Monday in the parking lot at 820 Happy Trails Lane.

 

2 cited for criminal damage

Police cited Mitchell Neil Winslow, 19, and Joel Michael Johnson, 19, for criminal damage, fleeing police on foot and trespassing at 2:07 a.m. today at 1318 E. Main St. after police received a report of glass breaking in the area.
