David John Jeffrey, 49, of Ramsey passed away at 4:53 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, from pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family.
David was born Aug. 31, 1964, in St. Paul to John and Olivia Jeffrey.He grew up with siblings Julie (Jeffrey) Peacock and Max (Matthew) Jeffrey. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1982.
He married his high school sweetheart, Jackie (Dillemuth) Jeffrey on Oct. 29, 1983, at St. Theodores Catholic Church in Albert Lea. They had three children, David Jr., Michelle and Amy.
David worked for Anoka Technical College for over 20 years. He was a respected community member and worked for the League for Innovations of Phoenix, Ariz.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Olivia (Jeffrey) Hanson in 2000; Don (Dilly) Dillemuth in 2008, and many family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; children David Jr. (wife, Jenny), Michelle (fiancé, Keith Taylor) and Amy Jeffrey; grandchildren Molly and Macie Jeffrey and Laylah Taylor; his father, John (wife, Cheryl) Jeffrey; siblings, nieces, nephews and many friends. The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW in Andover, and the funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St. in Anoka. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be sent to the Jeffrey family.
