The Harmony Junction Chorus will present its annual spring show at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, according to a press release.
This year’s show theme, “Viva! Las Vegas!” features the music of Las Vega performers through the years.
The Gay Nineties Quartet from Montevideo will be the show’s guest quartet. The group is the oldest registered quartet in the Barbershop Harmony Society at 62 years.
The quartet has made more than 5,000 appearances in 38 states and five Canadian provinces as well as two USO trips to hospitals in the far east in 1969 and 1971.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $14 at the door. Tickets are available at Addie’s Floral, Hy-Vee, Cup of Faith, the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce and through members of the chorus.
Under the direction of Jim Wirtz, the chorus is comprised of men from Albert Lea and communities with a 25-mile radius. Harmony Junction is a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
