2 hit-and-runs reported

A hit-and-run was reported at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday at 911 Jefferson Ave. The owner of the vehicle that was hit was unsure where it happened.

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday at 2708 Bridge Ave.

 

Workshop aims to reduce highway fatalities

More than 150 traffic safety stakeholders will attend the Southeast Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths workshop today in Rochester.

The 2013 preliminary southeastern Minnesota crash facts will be presented and best practices highlighted. Attendees will discuss ways they can work together to reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries on Minnesota roadways.

Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for Minnesota ages 2-34.
