Man arrested after escaping custody

Albert Lea police arrested Montique Rinaldo Bickham, 18, of Albert Lea for escaping from custody, a felony, after he reportedly led authorities on a foot pursuit Monday night.

Police had brought Bickham into the jail on several Austin warrants earlier in the day.

He was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for a reported medical issue later in the evening, and then reportedly ran from the jail staff who took him to the emergency room at 10:12 p.m.

 

Multiple thefts reported

A plow was reported stolen at 9:15 a.m. Monday from the backyard of 111 Lake Ave.

Medication was reported stolen at 3:17 p.m. Monday from 411 Commercial St.

Albert Lea police received a report at 1:12 p.m. Monday of possible employee theft at 951 W. Plaza St.

Someone reportedly stole groceries valued at $4.98 from Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave., at 7:08 p.m. Friday.

 

Vending machine, other property damaged

A vehicle was reported damaged at 9:37 a.m. Friday at 73000 220th St., Albert Lea.

A car reportedly knocked down a mailbox at 81594 130th St., Glenville, at 1:07 p.m. Saturday.

Albert Lea police received a report at 9:01 a.m. Friday that the vending machine at Northbridge Mall, 2510 Bridge Ave., was reported broken into the day before.

 

Gas drive-off reported

A gas drive-off was reported at 11:40 a.m. Sunday at Nelson’s Shell, 122 Bridge Ave. A vehicle reportedly left without paying for $37.25 in gasoline.

 

Man cited
for disorderly conduct 

Police cited Jonathan James Kluver, 23, for disorderly conduct and open container violation at 1:51 a.m. Saturday at 134 W. William St.

 

Woman cited for marijuana

Police cited Stephanie Lynn Behrends, 28, for driving after revocation, no insurance and possession of a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle at 6:46 p.m. Monday on the 700 block of Frank Avenue.

 

Man cited for illegal burning 

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Douglas Michael Blouin for illegal burning at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at 32522 780th Ave., west of Geneva.

 

Stop arm violation reported

A school bus stop arm violation was reported at 11:38 a.m. Monday on Freeborn County Road 46 a mile and a half east of Freeborn County Road 30.
