Three deputies were honored for their efforts during two separate incidents this spring. From left are deputies Jason Hillman and Christina Klimp, who at great risk to themselves waded into freezing waist deep water to verify no one was trapped in a partially submerged and rolled over pickup truck. Sheriff Bob Kindler presented them with the awards, along with deputy Jeremy Henke for saving a man’s life using an AED. Ironically both events took place within a few miles of each other on Interstate 90 on the same date. – Provided
