Festival of Farms coming to Hollandale

HOLLANDALE — Hollandale will host the Festival of Farms this summer.
The festival is a social event put on by the Sustainable Farming Association, according to a press release. The event includes two stops at local vegetable farms where there will be informative tours giving information on the growth and processing of vegetables along with some of background of farming in the Hollandale area. Afterwards there will be a meal and social for all to attend.
Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. July 12. The cost of the event is $5 and is free to members. Anyone can become a member for $30; just ask for a membership application.
The South Central chapter of the Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota is a local sustainable farmer-to-farmer network. The SFA supports the development and enhancement of sustainable farming systems through innovation, demonstration, education and farmer-to-farmer networking.
