Flash flood watch in effect

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for several counties in southern Minnesota, including Freeborn, Faribault, Martin, Steele, Waseca, Blue Earth, Mower, Dodge and Olmsted, among others.

The watch is in effect until 7 a.m. Wednesday.

A flash flood watch is in effect until the same time for several counties in northern Iowa, including Worth, Winnebago, Kossuth, Mitchell, Cerro Gordo and Hancock, among others.

More thunderstorms are expected Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. About three-quarters of an inch are forecast this time.

Monday night storms delivered nearly 3 inches of rain and pea-sized hail to the Albert Lea area.
