Rain fails to deter outdoor worship
Published 6:00 pm Saturday, June 7, 2014
Worship services continue this Sunday at Myre-Big Island State Park with Pastor Clayton Balsley from First Baptist and Calvary Baptist churches in Albert Lea leading the service.
Last Sunday we were forced into the pavilion because of the weather, but the rain did not dampen the spirits or the enthusiasm of those in attendance. Services are held at 8 a.m. in the chapel area east of the nature center and main pavilion on Big Island and last about 30 minutes. In case of rain, services are held in the pavilion.
A valid state park sticker is required to enter the park. Daily and season passes can be purchased at the Ranger station at the entrance to the state park. Dress casual. If you’ve never been one to one of these services, or if you have not been to one for a while, come and see what you have been missing.
