Red Cross blood drive was a success

The Red Cross collected 195 units of blood at the blood drive at Crossroads Church from June 11 through June 13. Enough blood was collected to save up to 585 lives over the three days, according to a press release.
One-gallon donor pins were earned by Senja Melin, Sharon Fulton, Brittany Zemek and Cynthia Van Reese, all of Albert Lea, and Marvin Thompson of Clarks Grove.
A two-gallon donor pin was earned by Christy Stenseth of Albert Lea.
Four-gallon donor pins were earned by John Holt and Lanae Thorstad of Albert Lea.
A six-gallon donor pin was earned by Garnys Nelson of Glenville, a nine-gallon pin by Charles Pownell of Albert Lea, a 10-gallon by George Wichmann of Alden, an 11-gallon by Arvil Bartness of Hartland, a 15-gallon was earned by Arlene Egerdahl of Albert Lea and a 20-gallon donor pin was earned by Lorene Olson of Albert Lea.
