Senora Holt, 1919-2014

Senora B. Holt, 94, of rural Lake Mills died Friday, June 13, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Community in Albert Lea.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lime Creek ELS Church in rural Lake Mills with the Rev. Erich Hoeft officiating.
Burial will be in Lime Creek ELS Cemetery in Iowa.
Visitation for Senora will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Mittelstadt Funeral Home, 902 E. Main St. in Lake Mills, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Senora Bertina (Dymbe) Holt was born June 20, 1919, to parents Peter and Anna (Singelstad) Dymbe on the farm in Winnebago County. She was baptized and confirmed at Lime Creek ELS. Senora attended country school and graduated from Lake Mills High School.
On April 12, 1941, Senora was united in marriage with Hartwick Holt at Lime Creek ELS. She was employed at Fleetguard Industries for 25 years and enjoyed traveling, both with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her trip to Norway in 2005, where she met four of her first cousins for the first time.
Faith and family were the cornerstones of Senora’s well-lived life.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Linda) Holt, of Lebanon, Ore.; two daughters, Teresa (David) Liane of Albert Lea and Karen (Dan) Ruda of St. Paul; grandchildren Amy Holt of Portland, Ore., Dan Holt of Beaverton, Ore., Eric Herfendal of Lake Mills, Erin Herfendal of Albert Lea, Kevin Ruda of St. Paul and Kiersten Ruda of Silver Springs, Md.; two sisters, Bernice Olson of Emmons and Violet Tweed of Ames, Iowa; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lorraine Holt of Hampton, Iowa, Mrs. Elaine Holt of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Marvel Holt of Marion, Iowa; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Senora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hartwick; and two brothers, Oscar Dymbe and Ardell Dymbe in infancy.
