Funeral services for Evelyn Morreim, 103, of Albert Lea will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Community Chapel.
The Rev. Daryl Bakke will officiate. Interment will be in Central Freeborn Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel on Tuesday. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.
Evelyn died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Community.
Evelyn C. Morreim was born March 8, 1911, in Manchester Township, the daughter of Carl and Anna (Norby) Morreim. She attended School District No. 19 and graduated from the eighth-grade. After school, she worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell. Evelyn lived in Newton, Iowa, for several years before moving to Colorado Springs, Colo. There she worked for Hillbridge Department Store. She returned to this area in 1981 and lived in the Channel View Apartments. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading and sewing. Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Esther Brynestad, Palma Johnson, Anna Madson, Noretta Bauman and Mildred in infancy; and her brothers Oscar, Carlyle and Elmer Morreim.
