An endorsing convention for the Independence Party within the 1st Congressional District will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Big Island Grille & Bar at Americas Best Value Inn, 2306 E Main St, Albert Lea. District 27A candidate Tom Price of Alden is expected to be endorsed at the convention.
