Funeral services for Mary Ann Sanborn, age 76, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of St. Theodore. Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Mary Ann died on Friday, July 25, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Community.

Mary Ann Sanborn was born on September 25, 1937, in International Falls, the daughter of Dewey and Agnes (Johnson) Parkin. She grew up there and graduated from Falls High School in 1956. On June 3, 1967, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Charles L. Sanborn in International Falls. She was retired from working as a dietary aide at Knutson Place. Mary Ann was a member of the Church of St. Theodore. She enjoyed travelling, crossword puzzles, bingo and visiting with her friends and family. Blessed be her memory.

Survivors include her daughter Nicole (Chris) Gade, of Dover, her brother-in-law Clint Sanborn of Albert Lea and her good friend and cousin Shari Budach of Albert Lea.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, her sister Elaine Kahler, a brother Alec Parkin and a brother in infancy, David Parkin.
