Moped stolen, lit on fire
A 2012 blue Kaitong moped that was reported stolen Wednesday morning was recovered later in the afternoon on fire on Myers Road. Albert Lea police stated the moped was initially reported stolen at 9:26 a.m. from 2315 Gene Ave. It was discovered on fire in a settlement pond at 2:01 p.m. at 2301 Myers Road. No one was seen in the area.
2 arrested for DWI
Albert Lea police arrested Ashley Lynn Fisher, 27, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated at 1:08 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Frank Avenue and East Front Street.
Police arrested Luis Abraham Chavez-Almanza, 22, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated at 1:54 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of West College Street and South Washington Avenue.
Windows broken out, damage reported
Albert Lea police received a report of a window broken out at 12:15 p.m. Friday at 1102 Ramsey St.
Damage was reported at 3:01 p.m. Friday to a door at Grace Christian Church, 501 W. College St.
A work trailer was reported damaged at 4:31 p.m. Friday at 1201 Garfield Ave. Police received multiple reports of cars damaged Friday afternoon on Garfield Avenue. Damage was reported to the doors and landscaping at Thorne Crest Retirement Community, 1201 Garfield Ave.
Spray paint was reported at City Beach and Valley Park on Sunday morning.
A tire on a 1994 Crown Victoria was reported slashed at 3:58 p.m. Sunday at 121 Adams Ave.
Thefts reported
Money was reported stolen at 4:02 p.m. Friday from 821 Plaza St.
Two cellphones were reported stolen at 8:44 p.m. Friday from 100 W. Hawthorne St.
Juveniles arrested for underage drinking, other violations
Police arrested a juvenile for underage drinking, obstructing justice and disorderly conduct at 7:08 p.m. Friday at 229 S. Pearl St. Another juvenile was arrested for furnishing alcohol to a minor.
Dog reportedly attacks dog
Police received a report of a dog that was attacked by another dog at 9:22 a.m. Saturday at 811 Minnie Maddern St.
Money taken from apartment
Albert Lea police received a report of an apartment that was broken into at 1:14 a.m. Sunday at 217 E. Second St. About $400 was taken.
