Rollover on I-35, 2 arrested on warrants and other reports

1 injured in rollover on I-35

A 45-year-old Wells man was injured early this morning after a rollover on Interstate 35 south of Owatonna.

Frederic R. Moga was reportedly driving northbound in a 2006 semi near milepost 37, three miles north of the Hope exit, when he entered the median, overcorrected and rolled, spilling a load of sheetrock into all of the lanes of northbound traffic.

Moga was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna for injuries deemed not life-threatening. No alcohol was detected.

The crash took place at 3:25 a.m.

The Steele County Sheriff’s Office, Owatonna Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance crews assisted at the scene.

 

1 cited for DWI

Albert Lea police cited Tracy Sue Hampton, 41, for driving while intoxicated at 2 a.m. today near the intersection of Frank Avenue and East Front Street.

 

2 arrested on warrants

Albert Lea police arrested Todd Alan Rietveld, 53, and Bailey Ehren Mitchell, 19, on local warrants Tuesday evening at 909 Janson St.

 

Wedding ring, cash reported stolen

GLENVILLE — A wedding ring and cash were reported stolen at 1:16 p.m. Tuesday from a residence at 421 First Ave. SE in Glenville.

 

Break-ins reported

A greenhouse at 200 First St. SW in Clarks Grove was reported broken into at 8:58 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

A van was reported gone through at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday at 110 S. Ermina Ave. in Albert Lea.
