Gas drive-off reported

A gas drive-off was reported at Nelson’s Shell, 122 Bridge Ave., at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday. The incident reportedly happened at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. A female driver took $41.12 in gasoline.

 

Woman injured in crash

A 61-year-old Alden woman was injured Wednesday afternoon after a crash at the intersection of East Main Street and Newton Avenue in Albert Lea.

Beverly Elmer was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

According to police, Elmer was driving eastbound on Main Street in a 1989 Saab when she turned north on Newton Avenue into the path of a 2001 Oldsmobile, driven by Daniel Gibbons, 51, of Albert Lea, headed west on Main Street.

Gibbons was not injured.

The crash took place at 2:44 p.m.

 

Lawn chairs stolen 

Four lawn chairs were reported stolen from a yard at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday at 1521 W. Clark St.

 

2 cited for shoplifting

Albert Lea police cited Brady Koller, 22, and Brianna Erickson, 19, both of Kiester, at 6:51 p.m. Wednesday for shoplifting from Shopko, 2610 Bridge Ave.
