MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis nightclub where nine people were shot over the weekend is expected to close permanently.
City licensing manager Grant Wilson said the owner of 400 Soundbar has told him it’s unlikely the bar will be reopened.
Reports said no arrests have been made in the Saturday shooting, which left two people seriously wounded and the rest with minor injuries.
The nightclub is just a block from Target Field and has a troubled history. Since 2012, two people have been stabbed at the club, two police officers have been injured while breaking up fights and a bouncer was shot and seriously wounded.
The city had placed conditions on the club’s operating license, including use of off-duty officers to improve security.
