Dennis Michael Sullivan, 69, of Northfield died Monday evening, Aug. 25, 2014. Denny was born Feb. 11, 1945, in St. Paul to Thomas and Nellie (Hildebrand) Sullivan.

He graduated from Mankato High School in 1963 and Mankato State College in 1967, and received his Master of Education from the University of Minnesota and Doctor of Education from St. Thomas. He taught Spanish in Roseville, then went into administration in the Albert Lea, Fridley, Forest Lake and North St. Paul/Oakdale school districts.

In 1995, Denny married MaryAnn Weinberg in Ham Lake. He had many interests, and never lost his love of learning. His family was his greatest passion.

Survivors include his wife, MaryAnn; two sons, Matthew (Natalie) of Burbank, Calif., and Patrick (Anna) of Mahtomedi; three stepchildren, Justin (Jesi) Weinberg of Minnetrista, Kyle (Katie) Weinberg of Ramsey and Katie (Mychal) Greseth of Prior Lake; and nine grandchildren.

A visitation for Denny will be from noon to 2 p.m. followed by a service of remembrance at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Church of Christ in Northfield.
