Our democracy has become a plutocracy, a government by the wealthy. The Democratic Party has abetted this change; witness the relationship between the Clintons and Carl Lindner of United Fruit, the Clintons’ pardon of fugitive financier Marc Rich and the relationship between the Clintons and Tyson Foods. The Clintons learned the cost of biting the hand that feeds them in Arkansas. The Clintons’ ability to raise campaign funds through their corporate connections makes Mrs. Clinton a shoo-in nominee for president in 2016 should she desire the nomination. If you wish to continue feeding the beast in hope that a few crumbs will land on your table, do nothing. If you would restore our democracy we must fund a campaign for Elizabeth Warren.
