Fountain Centers, Albert Lea Family Y to host Blazing 5/10K Oct. 4

Fountain Centers, a Mayo Clinic Health System program for substance abuse and addiction, and the Albert Lea Family Y will host the Blazing 5/10K on Oct. 4 as a fundraiser for Fountain Centers’ recreational programming and the Y’s Youth Fund Drive.
Both runs will start at 9 a.m. at the Blazing Star Trail, 128 S. Garfield Ave., Albert Lea. Early bird registrations are available for both runs through Monday and registrations must be in by Sept. 18 to guarantee an event T-shirt.
To register online go to www.theblazing5k10k.zapevent.com. Registration and packet pickup will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Albert Lea Family Y, 2021 W. Main St., Albert Lea, as well as from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 4 at the Blazing Star Trail.

Fountain Centers has been committed to helping individuals and their families who have alcohol and other drug problems since 1974, with nine locations throughout southern Minnesota. The Albert Lea Family Y is part of a worldwide fellowship united for the purpose of building a Christian society and developing in people those qualities of Christian personality exemplified in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. It is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary.
