Man arrested for DWI
Police arrested Steven Richard Boyken, 43, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 10:49 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of West Ninth Street and South Lincoln Avenue.
Campaign signs found
Numerous Peggy Bennett and Kurt Freitag campaign signs were reported found at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the former Ramsey Elementary School, 207 E. Fourth St.
Hit-and-run reported
A hit-and-run crash was reported at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday at 2708 Bridge Ave. The incident reportedly took place Friday.
Thefts reported
Albert Lea police received a report at 4:29 p.m. Tuesday of two people who reportedly stole items from Shopko, 2610 Bridge Ave.
Police received a report at 6:21 p.m. Tuesday of a purse that was stolen on Sunday at Taco Bell, 122 Bridge Ave.
Girl assaulted at park
Police received a report of a 10-year-old girl who was reportedly assaulted by other children at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday in Morin Park in Albert Lea. No other information was available as of press time.
