Give magazines to the hospital

Published 4:00 pm Saturday, August 2, 2014

To all the great readers out there,

As a Naeve Hospital Auxiliary volunteer with Mayo Clinic Health System of Albert Lea, I have a great opportunity for you to get rid of your magazines that you have already read.

Just bring them to the clinic and leave them at the front desk. Volunteers will distribute them to the waiting rooms throughout the hospital and clinic. They do their best to get you in for your appointment on schedule, but sometimes there are emergencies or some appointment takes longer than expected, so it is nice to have a magazine to look at while you are waiting.

We like women’s magazines, men’s sports and hunting and mechanical magazines, farm magazines, Reminisce, Birds and Blooms, Guideposts, Reader’s Digest in regular print and large print and any other magazines like People and Time and any magazine I have not mentioned that is appropriate reading for the general public.

Please note that magazines are time-sensitive. Christmas magazines don’t go over well in the summertime, etc. Usually if they are three months old or newer is most ideal. The magazines are delivered each week, usually on Tuesdays.

I thank all of the Magazine-Merry-Go-Round volunteers for their faithful dedication to this project and to you the public that read this message and donated your used magazines for us to distribute. You are a blessing.
