Headed westbound, she was driving a 2011 Hyundai SGL and merged from the left lane into the right as traffic merged into a single lane for construction. According to the State Patrol, a 2000 Peterbilt semi driven by Matthew J. Lentsch, 29, of Stewart rear-ended the Hyundai. Lentsch was uninjured.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. There were no passengers.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has reduced traffic to a single lane on I-90 from the cloverleaf to the interchange with Minnesota Highway 13 because of maintenance work on bridges. The work, being performed MnDOT crews, is slated to be in effect until Aug. 30.
