Thefts reported
A 42-inch flatscreen television, surround sound system and jewelry were reported taken at 10:09 a.m. Monday from 21791 785th Ave.
Items were reported stolen at 9:31 a.m. Monday from the Verizon Wireless store, 2718 Bridge Ave. The thefts reportedly took place on Friday.
Campaign signs stolen
Campaign signs for District 27A candidate Peggy Bennett were reported stolen from three different locations Monday morning on Garden Road and Martin Road.
Vandalism reported
Police received a report of vandalism at 2:06 p.m. Monday at 1511 Louis St. There were reportedly numerous political signs and egg cartons in the yard, and the front of the house and the car were egged.
A vehicle was reported damaged at 6:08 p.m. Monday at 28446 North Island Circle in Hollandale.
Man arrested for warrant, drugs
Albert Lea police arrested Jonathan William Talamantes, 27, on a warrant and fifth-degree drug possession at 3:01 p.m. Monday at 222 S. St. Mary Ave.
Meth found at business
A small baggie with a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine was reportedly found in the lunchroom at 4:42 p.m. Monday at Cargill Foods, 702 E. 13th St.
Tree down in storm
A tree was reported down in the alley at 9:33 p.m. Monday behind 203 S. Ermina Ave. The tree reportedly pulled the power lines down in front of the house. Alliant Energy responded.
