Traffic for eastbound motorists on Interstate 90 will be reduced to a single lane from Stewartville to Eyota beginning Aug. 4 as the 14-mile concrete repair project begins, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorists will encounter single-lane traffic eastbound, so that the work can be safely completed. A width limit of 11 feet is in effect for vehicles traveling on this portion of I-90 southeast of Rochester.
The $1.9 million project is expected to be complete by Oct. 31. Interstate Improvement, Inc. of Faribault is the prime contractor on the project.
