The Albert Lea Civil War Roundtable will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Southwest Middle School library. Local attorney Ellen Weinberg will present “Lincoln and the Writ of Habeas Corpus.” There will be an opportunity for questions.

The Civil War Roundtable meets on the first Thursday of each month from September through June. The meetings are free and open to anyone who has an interest in the Civil War and the U.S. Dakota War of 1862. For further information contact Jim Munyer at 507-213-6152.
