Elaine Larson, 1927-2014

Elaine M. (Jensen) Larson, 86, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014. at Ashland Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 17, 1927, in Albert Lea, the daughter of William X. and Agnes (Paulsen) Jensen.
She graduated from Albert Lea High School and went on to attend Bethel College in St. Paul where she met her husband, the late Rev. Raymond Larson. They were united in marriage on June 11, 1949, in Albert Lea.
She was first and foremost a wife, mother and homemaker. Elaine helped her late husband at several churches in Iowa, Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Mason. Elaine enjoyed music and played the organ for Bethany Baptist Church, Birch Lake Church and other various churches.
She is survived by four children, Esther Larson of Minneapolis, David (Denise) Larson of Mason, Andrew (Linda) Larson of Ashland and Priscilla (Todd) Hintz of Park Falls, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, Heather Larson, Jeremy (Amy) Larson, Ryan (Patti) Larson, Noelle Larson, Brittani Hintz, Rachel (Jay) Wipf, Michael (Erin) Larson, Alyssa Hintz, Matthias Hintz and Chelsey Larson; seven great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Nancy Larson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, the Rev. Raymond Larson; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church in Mason.
Interment will take place in the Birch Lake Cemetery in Mason.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
