Joanne Carol Bradford, 76, of Albert Lea died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Friends may greet her family from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.
Joanne Carol Bradford was born in Albert Lea Nov. 23, 1937, the daughter of Merle and Lillian (Pederson) Michaelson. She grew up in Hartland and graduated from Freeborn High School. Following school she worked at Wilson & Co. as a secretary.
Joanne married Frank A. Bradford in Colorado Springs, Colo. They lived in several other parts of the country, mostly on the west coast. Joanne enjoyed antiques and worked as an antiques dealer. She played racquetball and liked watching tennis. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her love of dogs, especially Boston terriers, boxers and English bulldogs.
Survivors include her son, Scott, and his wife, Mari, of Roseville, Calif., and their children Tyler, Ella and Finn; her son, Barry, of Albert Lea; brother, Rodney (Jane) Michaelson, of Alden; and several nieces and nephews.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; and several beloved dogs through the years.
