Mavis Marie Johnson died in her sleep Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at United Hospital in St. Paul.

She was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Albert Lea to Arnold and Edna Brandt.

Mavis married Edward Jon Johnson and together they had five children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Johnson; son, Michael Ray Johnson; daughter, Jennifer Fields; brother, Donald Brant; granddaughters Dawn and Carol Ann Pechumer; and grandsons Matthew Jenderny and Kelly Pechumer.

Mavis is survived by daughters Linda Kay Carpenter and Lou Anne Marie Jenderny; son, Jonathan Eric Johnson; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Babe Brandt; and sisters Colleen Brang and Kathleen Porter.

Mavis loved her family more than life, and she loved life.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1963 S. Broadway in Albert Lea.
