COTTAGE GROVE — A suburban Twin Cities company has local approval for a medical marijuana manufacturing plant.

The Cottage Grove City Council has given Leafline Labs a conditional use permit to build a cultivating and processing facility on 24 acres of land it owns in the community.

Leafline can only move forward if the Minnesota Department of Health chooses it as a provider of medical marijuana. Two medical manufacturers will be chosen and registered by Dec. 1.
