Motorists will encounter a one-day detour on State Highway 30 between Hayfield and Blooming Prairie on Tuesday, while crews do excavation work for a survey marker, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Signs will be in place for motorists. For motorists traveling west on Highway 30 from Hayfield, detour south on Dodge County Road 5, then west on Dodge County Road 2 into the city of Blooming Prairie. Follow detour signs in Blooming Prairie to Highway 218 north to rejoin Highway 30 west. Motorists from the west should follow the detour in reverse.

The work is expected to take one day, weather permitting.
