In loving memory of Richard “Butch” Francis Willman II: a fun-loving, giving, caring husband and friend died at home May 2, 2014, with his wife and friends at his side. He fought a three-year courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Albert Lea to Lorraine (Larson) (1923-2009) and Richard F. Willman I (1938-2011).
He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964 with full honorable discharge in 1967. Prior to retiring in 1998, he was a field service technician for Eastman Kodak Company.
He was united in marriage to Margaretta Beamers in September of 1964. They lived in Ingleside, Ill., where they raised their three children. Greta preceded him in death in September of 1999.
Richard married Imogene Pinkham-Berkey Oct. 8, 2000. They made their home in Winthrop Harbor, Ill., and retired in 2006 to Rock Spring, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; sister, Dorothy (Hank, deceased, 1930-2011) of Albert Lea; children Christine (Andy) Hammar and granddaughter, Cadence, of Mount Prospect, Ill., Richard III (Naomi) of McHenry, Ill., and two grandchildren, Echo Willman-Gilley of Texas and Ashton Fahner of Wisconsin; and stepson, Michael Pinkham (Christine Lee) and step-granddaughter, Brenda Lee, of Woodland Hills, Calif.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice Jean, in infancy; first wife; and daughter, Andrea (Erick) Fahner.
A private memorial was in July at Channel Lake State Park in Illinois. A special thanks for caring, loving family and friends who phoned and sent text messages to show their concern over his last three years. The family appreciated the support received. Also, to two very special friends, Dedrida and Jodi Campbell, of LaFayette, Ga., for their unending help, concern and caring until the end. Thank you.
