I just read the letter to the editor complaining about the loud music on Sept. 6.

My girlfriend and I were at the street dance that night, and we had a blast. It was a very well-organized event. There were no altercations of any kind.

I think Albert Lea should have more events like that.

The music stopped before midnight so I don’t feel it was too late. I guess some people should just learn to be a bit more tolerant? It seems like Albert Lea has turned into a retirement community.
